The Brunswick Town Conservation Area covers about 39 hectares and was designated by Brighton and Hove City Council in 1969. Inside the boundary are 68 listed buildings (7 Grade I, 4 Grade II*, 57 Grade II). The most significant is Church of St Andrew Including Walls, Railings and Gates, Grade I. Part of the area lies in flood zone 2, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
