The Tong Conservation Area covers about 18 hectares and was designated by City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council in 1973. Inside the boundary are 16 listed buildings (2 Grade I, 2 Grade II*, 12 Grade II). The most significant is Church of St James, Grade I.
