The Town Centre Heritage Conservation Area covers about 30 hectares within Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council’s area. Inside the boundary are 163 listed buildings (3 Grade I, 11 Grade II*, 149 Grade II). The most significant is Old Town House (scaplens Court Museum), Grade I. Part of the area lies in flood zone 3, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
