The Lozells and Soho Hill Conservation Area covers about 34 hectares and was designated by Birmingham City Council in 1979. Inside the boundary are 34 listed buildings (2 Grade II*, 32 Grade II). The most significant is Convent of Our Lady of Mercy, Grade II*. 7 Tree Preservation Order records overlap the area; every other tree here still needs six weeks’ notice before work.
