The Preston Candover Conservation Area covers about 126 hectares and was designated by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council in 1981. Inside the boundary are 28 listed buildings (2 Grade II*, 26 Grade II). The most significant is North Hall, Grade II*. Part of the area lies in flood zone 3, so an extension may need a flood risk assessment.
