The Sompting Conservation Area covers about 22 hectares and was designated by Adur District Council in 1976. Inside the boundary are 8 listed buildings (1 Grade I, 7 Grade II). The most significant is The Parish Church of St Mary, Grade I. 2 Tree Preservation Order records overlap the area; every other tree here still needs six weeks’ notice before work.
